Partners

SPS is completely independent and unlike many consultancy companies does not try to persuade clients to buy solutions that either they do not need or which are entirely inappropriate for their business requirements.

We work mainly with niche providers, usually SMEs, who we know offer a robust, cost effective and potential best value for money solution to a specific procurement problem, often for a specific industry sector.

We are keen to provide help to fellow entrepreneurs where we know that they can be relied upon to deliver high standards of service and quality.

Some of our key partners are featured below.

Coding International

Coding International (CIL) was formed as a result of the privatisation of the NHS NSV Centre in 2000. They have an unparalleled 19 years experience in managing, marketing and developing coding and classification structures. Coding and classification services are their core business.

In October 2007 CIL was awarded the contract to manage ProClass, the Local Government Classification Hierarchy.

When the PAE decided to undertake its 2006/7 expenditure analysis it asked SPS to look at ways in which ProClass could be used to improve the quality of their consolidated spend data and make opportunity analysis even easier. SPS recommended that Coding International was commissioned to classify the 2006/7 financial year spend for members using a unique new way of overcoming the problem of data accuracy.

Terry Ashmore, Managing Director of CIL, points out that “although, there is still some way to go before classifying 100% of expenditure will be reached, each council now has a definitive and accurate breakdown of 85% of its expenditure which it can use with a high level of confidence. They also have a list of where improvements need to be made to the subjective coding and in some cases which service departments need to improve their financial coding procedures.”
