The PAE is now over one year old and has demonstrated how collaborative procurement can really work.
The Agency received a “highly commended” award at the LGC2005 Awards in March (quite an achievement given that the entry was submitted when the Agency was only six months old). It also received superb coverage in the Local Government Chronicle (5th May 2005). A new Director, Peter Quinn, joined the Agency on 1st April, replacing Ken Cole (SPS) who had been fulfilling the role on a part-time basis since the Agency’s launch in 2004.
We commend the PAE as a model for collaborative procurement. Well done to the Essex authorities for making it happen.
